My last extensions were so annoying I pulled them out!
Steph had tried lash extensions once but found they irritated and became quite itchy. They drove her so crazy she ended up pulling them out! Did you know that you shouldn’t actually be able to feel extensions? When extensions irritate, it’s usually because the lash stylist was either inexperienced or did a shoddy job. Never settle for bad lash work. When searching for a stylist, check their reviews.
They’ve damaged my lashes in the past…
Tara had been wearing extensions from another stylist. When she decided to take a break, she was horrified to find her lashes were terribly damaged and she contacted us for advice. We recommended a lash growth serum and waited a few weeks before we applied a light set of extensions until her lashes were back to full health. The truth is, extensions don’t need to be damaging. A good stylist will talk you through your options to avoid any damage to your natural lashes.
I don’t want to look like a drag queen!
Chloe is curious to try lash extensions but is worried she’ll be made to look ridiculous. The truth is… finding a genuinely talented lash stylist isn’t easy. Great lash extensions should instantly make you feel prettier and more confident. You should not look at them and hope you’ll eventually get used to them... Our advice? If you’re considering extensions, it’s worth doing some research on your local stylists. Read their reviews and look at photos of their work.
My previous stylist was cheaper but they fell out quicker…
Jasmine’s old lash stylist was half the price of us, and she thought she was getting a bargain (despite having to go back every two weeks for refills). Since coming to Blink, Jasmine only refills once a month because our extensions last so long. This means that while she’s still spending around the same amount of money each month, she’s saving herself loads of time on appointments.
Classics or Hybrids…
Which is the right style for me?
Classic extensions give a natural ‘with mascara’ effect. This is achieved by applying a single extension onto a single eyelash - perfect if you're looking for subtle elegance.
Hybrids use a combo of single extensions plus multi-lash fans to achieve a fuller, darker effect. Depending on how many fans are added, Hybrids can either create a ‘volume mascara’ effect or something really rather more VA-VA-VOOM!
Not sure which one’s for you? No problem. You’ll have the opportunity to make a final decision on the day.

Janice Mastin, Founder of Blink
The Blink Story
It was in 2006, while living in the UK and studying at Edinburgh University, that Janice first discovered eyelash extensions. After seeing them on a friend, she was instantly mesmerised. Following a short period as a lash addict herself, Janice knew she wanted to be able to create eyelash magic on others and so completed the training.
Some years later, when the opportunity arose to move to the Middle East, Janice knew she had to take her eyelash skills with her. Within just a few months, her reputation had become so widespread and skills in high demand, that Janice felt driven to make the most of this natural, creative talent and so, Blink The Eyelash Expert was born. Fast forward to August 2017 when Janice relocated to Queensland's gorgeous Sunshine Coast, to focus full-time on establishing Blink in her native Australia.
Janice is passionate about using eyelashes as an enhancement to a woman's natural beauty, not as a mask, which she often feels extensions can become.
